About This Tour
Meet the craftspeople who keep Balinese tradition alive. This package opens with a live Barong dance, the island's best known mask drama, then moves through the workshops that surround Ubud: batik dyeing, silver smithing, wood carving and classical painting, each with a chance to try your hand at the craft. You will also visit Batuan temple, a 11th-century sanctuary famous for its carved stone gates, and finish with an ATV ride through the rice fields and back lanes outside town. A day built around people and skills rather than viewpoints.

Watch the Barong and Rangda face off in the classic battle between order and chaos. A full gamelan orchestra accompanies the dancers, and your driver explains the story as it unfolds.

See how hot wax and natural dyes build up a batik pattern layer by layer, then try the canting tool yourself on a small piece you can take home.

Silver Smith & Jewelry Workshop
Visit a family silver workshop in the Celuk area, where artisans shape rings and pendants by hand using techniques passed down through generations.

Authentic Balinese cuisine at a restaurant chosen by your driver. Vegetarian and vegan options available.

Wood Carving & Painting Studios
Walk through the carving village of Mas and a Ubud painting gallery, where artists work on canvases in the traditional Batuan style.

Batuan Temple
Explore one of the oldest temples in the region, known for its dense stone carving and its elaborately sculpted split gate. Sarong provided.

ATV Ride
Take the wheel for a guided quad bike circuit through rice paddies, palm groves and village tracks. Helmets, boots and instruction included by the operator.
